Onto my skin and into my spirit

When clients ask about the visual identity of my coaching practice, they often expect a story about design agencies, mood boards, or brand strategy.

The truth is much more visceral. My logo was born twenty years ago in a tattoo parlor, etched directly onto my lower abdomen. Just weeks after that needle touched my skin, I discovered I was pregnant with my son.

It wasn't a corporate asset; it was a living talisman. And that is why I reivented it as the lighthouse of my being a coach.

And just like my old tattoo, my logo is the summary of what I believe reinvention, future, liberty and authenticity is.

At the center of the design lies the ancient pictographic form of Hexagram 61 of the I Ching: Zhong Fu (Inner Truth). Long before it was simplified into horizontal hexagram lines, the earliest pictograph depicted a mother bird’s foot—a claw—gently resting over an egg, protecting and brooding over it. This is in fact what I have engraved onto my belly, but for my logo I decided to use the exagram. Both of them have immense coaching value hidden inside.

What my tattoo says, practically, is that life hatches from within: if an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends. If it breaks from the inside, life begins. Great coaching never imposes answers, forces agendas, or breaks the client open. It creates a safe, reliable container. And then incubation requires patience and warmth: the bird’s talon does not rush the egg. It holds it, warms it, and trusts the quiet, unseen intelligence of the process. In a world obsessed with instant fixes, real transformation requires the courage to sit with what is still forming. This idea of light that moves quietly but relentlessy from your very core fascinates me, and it has drawn me to start my coaching practice. Not to teaach, but to free people.

If we then look at the less ancient hexagram, we see what it teaches: that when sincerity is pure and rooted at the center, it moves even the deepest waters without force. My role as a coach is to help you reconnect with that immutable center of gravity—your own inner truth. As the oracle says Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise, seek what they sought. This all is visible in the structure of the hexagram: two broken lines surrounded by firm ones: The oracle explains, that when the exagram is its primal state it signifies that you know the answer, it is whithin you. The message of Inner Truth unchanging is that you may already know the answer even while you continue to search for it.

I have paired this with the phoenix, another symbol I cherish. The phoenix represents action, courage, and transformation. When you know what you are protecting—when you have uncovered your authentic values and inner truth—stepping into the fire of change is no longer terrifying. The fire ceases to be destructive; it becomes the exact energy that allows you to spread your wings and step into your next chapter.

Every client who walks into a coaching journey is carrying an "egg"—a nascent project, an emerging leadership identity, a difficult crossroad, or a quiet desire for something more meaningful. My logo is a reminder of my commitment to you: to provide the grounded, patient space where your truth can incubate safely, and the challenge that empowers you to rise, take flight, and lead from who you truly are.
